Event Description

This event is SOLD OUT. If you did not put down a deposit please do not attend. We can only bring 30 people into the shelter.

Help us help them! The Liberty Humane Society is a fantastic organization that shelters animals while they are in between homes. They need about 30 NJYP and Team Charity Volunteers on this Sunday morning to help cuddle with the cats and walk the dogs. A love for animals and young professionals is a MUST to attend!

When you register you will commit to working with either the dogs or the cats.

Dog Duties:
These volunteers will be responsible for walking the dogs outside. Wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers. Do not forget your scarf, hat, and gloves.

Cat Duties:
These volunteers will be responsible for grooming and socializing/playing with the cats. Volunteers will also help to feed and stock the cat area.

Post-Volunteering Breakfast:
We suggest that everyone meets up at the Brownstone Diner for breakfast AFTER the event. http://www.brownstonediner.com/

Bring directions and be prepared to perhaps have to wait for tables.

RSVP (to the right) and we will let you know when tix are almost gone, if there are any changes, etc.

Deposits:
Because the shelter is relying on us we are asking that all volunteers put down a FULLY REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $9.08. The $9.08 will be returned to all who attend the event. Cancellations will be accepted (and deposits refunded) up until noon on the day before.

It turns out that I'm out of town that weekend, so I guess I can save the antihistamines. Will someone please make sure the dogs are sufficiently pet in my absence? :)
