Oh, this is not to be missed! It'll be good to see you there!
About the next marketing dinner... So, I've talked with Laura, the dinner will now be run as an unofficial event. This means I'll be setting up everything and it won't be advertised in the NJYP events or emails. I think we'll still get a good turn out as we had a great turn out with previous dinners. I may need your help promoting it though. I also plan to have only about 3 a year instead of every other month.

I'm torn between having the next one in Morristown or Somerville. What do you think? Also, I was thinking about having it on Wednesday, October 27th or Tuesday, November 16th. What's better for you? What are your thoughts?

Remember to follow the discussion as we continue to post other marketing stuff here.
I think sooner is better than later just because people may become busy with Thanksgiving coming up. Also which ever location you find please try to make it at a place where parking isn't a problem (especially if you are expecting a big turnout).

I haven't been to one of these Marketing dinners but am excited about it. hope to hear about more details soon. Let me know if you need any help.
Jahnavi, Thanks for your feedback. We've had good turn outs at the past dinners. I was hoping to get a bigger response from others on here, but everyone seems to be quiet all the sudden.

I think we should plan for November 16th as we need some time to promote and get it on people's calendars. Since no one responded to the location question, I think Morris County is best. Perhaps we'll head back to Vanderbilt's in Florham park or maybe a place in Morristown like Famished Frog. I'll call around and post more details when I know.

Let's all mark Nov 16th as the next dinner. Meet at 6-6:30 and sit down to eat at 7:30 in Morris County. Get the word out!!!
Paul, unfortunately, I'm going to have to miss the event. November 16th is also the night of the next Social Media Coffeehouse meeting that I'm hosting in Little Falls. So much for trying to get more NJYP marketing folks to my event, I guess! :)

If the date changes for any reason, let me know and I should be able to be there.

- Kevin
Morris County sounds great. Would it be okay if it's not at a place by the green, I have a hard time getting around there. Maybe a place that has parking. I hate parking on the street.

I'm really excited about this. Let me know when you have more details about the event. I will pass it onto my friends.
The Dinner for Marketing Pros has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 30th. This is in an effort to space out events and not cause competition between events. We'll still do the Morris County area. I need to call some venues and solidify a location. Mark it on you calendars! It should be fun and interesting. The dinners have been growing in popularity!

I put together an E-vite for the Dinner. Here is a link to all the info on the Marketing Professionals Drinks & Dinner. Please RSVP on the Evite. This is no longer a NJYP only event, so you need to reply through there.

We'll meet up at 6:30 to 7:30 at the Dublin Pub. We can sit for dinner at 7:30 Dinner as a group at The Brick Oven and then it's open networking after that.

Did you RSVP for the Marketing Dinner yet? Come out for some drinks and a bite to eat! http://tinyurl.com/2eamybp

Also, The MarCom Event is coming up. Who's going?
The Marketing Dinner went great last night! Thanks to anyone who could join us. We missed all of you who couldn't make it.

I'm thinking of changing the dinner slightly to the "Marketing Dinner Club". I want to start introducing more interesting restaurants and cuisines. I polled the attendees last night and everyone seems to be up for it. The next dinner will most likely be in the Montclair area. Any thoughts on where to go?

Also, don't forget to sign up for MarCom. It's a huge event that you shouldn't miss. http://www.brand4market.com/marcomemail/index.html

Then on Jan 18th I'm hosting a new Mix & Mingle event with the AMA. You don't need to be a member to attend. It's going to be at Cricket Hill Brewery in Fairfield, NJ. I'll send more details when I have them.
My favorite hole in the wall Thai place in Montclair is Joey Thai on Bloomfield Avenue. I've been there a couple of times, including once with a large group, and they were great to us.
