Movember - Raising Money to Battle Men's Cancers (and Looking Good While Doing It!)
Hey guys, I'm taking part this year in Movember. I'll be growing a mustache in November to raise awareness and funds for prostate and testicular cancer charities.
Donating is really easy, just go to www.kevinsmo.com, and you'll be taken to the US Movember web site. Just click the "Donate to Me" button on the top left of the page (under my name and above my photo), and you'll be guided step-by-step.
If you're on Facebook, please check out the "Kevin's Mo" fan page, and click the Like box to become a supporter. I need all your help spreading the word! My goal is to collect $1000 by Thanksgiving, and every little bit helps!
If anyone else is interested in taking part, let me know. I've been thinking of setting up a "New Jersey Young Mo-fessionals" fundraising team. Women are welcome to join too. "Mo Sisters" aren't expected to grow a mustache, just raise funds and spread the word like their mustached "Mo Brothers". There's a gala in NYC on Friday 12/3 for all the Mo Brothers and Sisters to celebrate, and I will try to set up a local event in November for folks to come out, donate, and celebrate their role in "changing the face of men's health"

I'm almost a week into growing out my mustache and have raised about $500 so far. My goal is to raise $1000 by Thanksgiving, and of course as much as I can before the month is up.

I can't wait to see folks at the happy hour tomorrow! I've got a bunch of fake mustaches for people to wear to get into the act, as well as some great raffle prizes and auction items!
For some reason, I can't get onto the Facebook site right now, but once I can, I'll update the event info with the new details. I'm going to move the start time up to 6:00 in case anyone wants to come right from work. Don't worry if you're a latecomer: we'll still go until at least 9:00!
