My first event was a happy hour at just jakes in montclair. I made a few coworkers come with me because I was nervous. LOL.

Mine was back in Feb '10 at Mavi Lounge in Wayne, NJ. It was a mix of NJP and NJYP members. In all honesty, I felt like I was at a career fair except it was after hours and at a bar/lounge...it wasn't supposed to be nerve-wrecking but I had a hard time chilling out. I finally talked to a few people but I didn't feel optimistic about the event.

I think I need to attend more events and activities to loosen up a bit more and connect.

My first event was Speed Dating at Hotoke Lounge in New Brunswick, October 2009. I'm still friends a guy I matched with after that event and I've become good friends with a girl who was also there searching :) I love going to speed dating events! I haven't met "the one" yet LOL but I make more and more friends at every NJYP event!

My first event was a Karaoke get together at Champps in Menlo Park Mall, I want to say it was 2004. Met James (mapquest) and Ed (northed) and the NJYP group was just a yahoo group then. Wow, time flies. I've met some great people though this group :-)
